Municipal elections are set for Tuesday, and lots of contingency plans are being made at polling places for people’s safety. Audrain County Clerk Lisa Smith echos many other clerks in the area saying this election will be different than previous ones.

All the polls will be open for Tuesday’s election in the county. Smith says lots of social distancing measures will be in place.

Audrain County has seen a recent spike in COVID-19 numbers, including its first reported death Monday. Most cases have been tied to an area meat-processing plant. Smith was asked if the recent spike in numbers has impacted any of their preparations.

Polling opens up at 6 in the morning and ends at 7pm Tuesday night. We will have some reports on KWIX tonight and a rundown of the results on the Big K 10:00 news.
