The 2020 edition of the M.I.N.K. League has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement came this afternoon from league commissioner Ron Rodriguez. The college summer league was founded in 2009 and features teams in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. However, no Nebraska teams were slated to play in the nine-team league this year. The decision to cancel the 2020 M.I.N.K. came largely due to the uncertainties related to ensuring the safety of players, staff, and spectators. While the 2020 season has been canceled, league officials fully intend for the 2021 season to be played as scheduled. Missouri featured five of the nine teams scheduled to play in the M.I.N.K. League this summer. Those teams were the Jefferson City Renegades, Sedalia Bombers, Chillicothe Mudcats, Nevada Griffons, and the Joplin Outlaws.
