Two Dead in Semi Crash East of Moberly

Highway 24 east of Moberly is open after a fatal tractor-trailer accident killed two out-of-state men today(on Tuesday). Randolph County Emergency Management Director David Gaines, the highway is back open:

According to the State Highway Patrol, when the accident occurred a semi was stopped partially off the roadway, with the trailer of the semi blocking both lanes. Gaines shared the timeline of events:

The driver, 31-year-old Kaysamual Blanks of Rancho Cordova, California, was outside of the truck when it was hit by a semi driven by 61-year-old Michael Fenner of Jackson, Michigan. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.  Gaines was thankful to area crews for the immediate assistance:

Highway 24 in Randolph County is now open to traffic in both directions.
