The early portion of the Missouri youth deer season runs October 28th and 29th while the late portion is November 24th through the 26th. These seasons are for kids between six and 15. Randolph County Conservation Agent Zach Barnes says it’s important to get youth involved in deer hunting.
Children must be accompanied by an adult who is hunter education certified in order to participate. Barnes says kids need to keep safety in mind.
Hours for the youth deer season are from a half-hour before sunrise to a half-hour after sunset.
