WORK ON MOBERLY INN IS UNDERWAY

Work to get the Moberly Inn up to code is now underway. It was condemned last year. Moberly Code Enforcement Officer Aaron Decker says the general contractor, who is from the state of California, has obtained his business license and has pulled the proper building permit to get started.
The contractor hopes to get that work done before winter settles in. The other major early step is to repair the parking lot.
Interior work will begin on the restaurant.
Then attention will turn to the rooms.
Decker says this will be a lengthy process that could take close to six months or more.
