WESTMINSTER VOLLEYBALL OPENS D-III TOURNAMENT AT CHICAGO

The Westminster volleyball team won the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday and learned Monday that they will head to Chicago for the first round of the Division III Tournament to face the University of Chicago in the first round. The Blue Jays, now 19-8, advanced with a 3-2 win over Webster in the semifinals and a 3-1 win over MacMurray in the Championship. The Maroons, 26-3, are ranked second in the country. Other first round matchups in the regional will have Otterbein of Ohio against Wisconsin-Whitewater, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps of California against Washington University of St. Louis, and Carthage of Wisconsin against Grinnell of Iowa.
