Fresh off a meeting with the G20 Ag Ministers in Italy, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack spoke at the Ag Outlook Forum in Kansas City on Monday. He told attendees the rest of the world needs to know that U.S. agriculture is on board with climate change mitigation, but the European Union’s “Farm To Fork” program isn’t the only way to get there…
Vilsack said the U.S. seeks to build a group of nations that believe the European program wasn’t the only way to reach climate goals…
Vilsack noted that it’s also important that climate policies aren’t used to inhibit trade between countries. Monday’s Ag Outlook Forum in Kansas City was co-sponsored by Agri-Pulse and the Kansas City Agribusiness Council.
