Frogging season is underway in Missouri through Halloween. There are a variety of methods that can be used to catch frogs. Knox County Conservation Agent Dustin Snead says the methods are dependent on the type of permit you have.
Snead adds there are very few forbidden methods for hunting frogs.
The use of night vision or thermal imagery is prohibited for frog season. Snead says there are a few methods that prove to be the most successful.
The two species of frogs that can be hunted are the American Bullfrog and the Green Frog. The daily limit is eight and the possession limit is 16.
