Van-Far Scholar Bowl Team Set to Make First-ever Trip to State Finals

The 2021 season has been a historic one for the Van-Far scholar bowl team. The Indians captured their first-ever district title and followed that up by beating Westran 260-140 in a Class 2 quarterfinal. Van-Far coach Teresa Winders says their battle for conference supremacy with Louisiana helped set them up for postseason success.
Louisiana went on to fall in district play in Class 3 to O’Fallon Christian. Van-Far will face North Platte in the Class 2 Semifinals Thursday at 1pm. Winders says preparations for the team’s first trip to the state finals have been limited.
Summerville and Greenwood also join Van-Far in the Class 2 scholar bowl Semifinals.
