While high school sports and activities are getting ready to re-open in the state of Missouri, protocols are also being put in place for students that test positive for the virus. The Executive Director of the Missouri State High School Activites Association, Dr. Kerwin Urhahn explains what happens…..

The MSHSAA guidelines and recommendations for opening sports says schools must appoint an individual or individuals who will be responsible for ensuring any student testing positive meet the standards for return to participation. Dr. Urhahn is encouraging schools to look out for each other and for coaches and administrators to be proactive….

Urhahn says team drink stations will be a thing of the past. All participants are encouraged to bring and fill their own water bottles. Fall sports practices in the state of Missouri are scheduled to begin two weeks from today.

Dr. Urhahn was our guest on the Chariton Valley Magic City Sports Talk Show on Friday. If you missed it, you can find the full interview on the show page in the sports section of centralmoinfo.com.
