Update On Overturned Semi Accident North of Moberly Friday

As reported Friday, a semi overturned in the northbound lanes of Highway 63 near the Omar Bradley Airport north of Moberly about 11:20am. Full details are now available from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 50-year-old driver Charles Smith of Huntington, Tennessee drove southbound when he experienced a medical issue, traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median, crossed the northbound lane of Highway 63, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. Smith suffered moderate injuries, and an ambulance transported the driver to a Columbia hospital. The Moberly Police Department and Moberly Fire Department also assisted.
