Untiedt Talks Route 3 Being Added To STIP

MoDOT announced this week that there will be no immediate fix for Route 3 in Randolph County, which has been closed since a slide developed in March. The project has been added to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Untiedt says they are currently in the “scoping” phase.
Untiedt says construction will begin if they get good bids based on what the consultant determines the cost should be.
Route 3 is expected to be closed until at least next year.
