UIndy Is Once Again The Football Team To Beat In The GLVC

Indianapolis has won the Great Lakes Valley Conference football championship 9-of-11 years since the league began sponsoring the sport. The Greyhounds have also made the NCAA Division II playoffs seven of the last nine seasons. Success in the playoffs has been a bit more elusive, including last year’s first round exit at Pittsburg State 35-0. 5th year UIndy Head Coach Chris Keevers says they can’t look too far ahead…..

Keevers returns eight starters on offense…..

The Greyhounds have seven back on the defensive side of the football…..

UIndy’s Chris Keevers was co-GLVC Coach of the Year with Truman’s Gregg Nesbitt. The Bulldogs lost to Indianapolis 28-14 in the regular season finale, for the conference crown. Those two teams again top the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll and will meet October 14th in Kirksville.
