Two People Rescued from Columbia Residence Fire

The Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 200 block of East Burnam Road early Saturday morning. Firefighters arrived at 2:24 am and encountered heavy fire conditions from the attached garage of a two-story residence. Two people were rescued from the burning residence and no injuries were reported. The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes and the cause is still under investigation.
