Two More SEMO Counties Impacted By Abnormal Dryness

A majority of Scott County and the southern fourth of Cape Girardeau County have now entered pre-drought conditions. That’s the only change in this week’s USDA Drought Monitor, which now has 5.8 percent of Missouri under abnormally dry conditions. No changes occurred to either of the patches that appeared on last week’s update, and no portion of the state has re-entered moderate drought.
