A 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman from Clarence were arrested after a multi-month-long narcotics investigation involving the Drug Enforcement Agency, North Missouri Drug Task Force and the Moberly Police Department. Officers learned the two were returning from the Kansas City area with a large amount of methamphetamine. After a short vehicle pursuit into Monroe County, the male driver stopped the vehicle and both subjects were taken into custody. Officers found two pounds of methamphetamine, and the two were taken to the Randolph County Jail, where they are held without bond to face charges of trafficking narcotics.
