Truman’s Estes of Fayette And Ross Are GLVC Players Of The Week

Truman State’s Isaiah Estes and Grant Ross were selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player and Special Teams Player of the Week. Estes matched his career-high with 14 tackles and assisted with Mason Crim on the biggest stop of the day when Truman stuffed Quincy’s Teon Dollard on a fourth and one play with just over three minutes to play on the Bulldog 34-yard line…..

That turnover on downs gave Truman a chance to move down the field and eventually led to Ross’ 31-yard field goal with eight seconds left to play that tied the game at 27 apiece. Ross earlier hit from 36 yards which was set up by Mason Huskey’s 72-yard kick return. Ross made all three extra points, including the final one with the ball laying on the turf.

For the Fayette native, Estes, it was his second Player of the Week award. It was the third for Ross.
