Truman Women Play First of Two Against Quincy

Truman and Quincy women’s basketball teams play the first of two games against each other this week when they meet at Pershing Arena Tuesday evening. The Hawks were part of an NCAA Division II record-setting game on Saturday. Quincy and Illinois-Springfield combined to set D2 single-game records for free throw attempts, with 100, and free throws made, with 75. The records came in the Prairie Stars 100-99 triple overtime win and the 71 personal fouls combined was one shy of a D2 record. Truman coach Theo Dean admires how the Hawks battle despite just two wins….

Dean’s Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 12-3 and surpassed Drury for first in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Point Rating System rankings after Lewis defeated Rockhurst Monday. You can hear the Quincy at Truman women’s game on KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting at 5:00. Brad and Hank will have the call. The Truman teams will play at Quincy on Saturday.
