Truman Women Come Off Quarantine When Bulldog Teams Host Rockhurst

After a 19-day layoff, the Truman State women return to game action when Rockhurst visits Pershing Arena Thursday night. The 12-3 Bulldogs last played on February 6th. Coach Theo Dean says parts of his team have been able to participate in workouts…

The Truman women have won the Great Lakes Valley Conference Central Division and are trying to hold on to the top seed for the GLVC Tournament next week. With two games left, the Bulldogs cling to a slim lead (.04) over 3rd ranked Drury in the conference’s Point Rating System standings. The Rockhurst women pulled off the biggest upset in women’s Division II basketball by knocking Drury out of the number one spot, but then proceed to lose five in a row. The Hawks come to Kirksville with a record of 8-10.

The 3rd ranked Truman men will host a veteran Rockhurst team that has struggled. Despite returning all five starters the Hawks enter the final week of the regular season at 9-11 and trying to get into the GLVC Tournament. ‘Dogs coach Jeff Horner says they are better than their record….
