Truman Women Beat McKendree-Bulldog Men Lost In Overtime

The Truman State women won at McKendree and the Bulldog men wrapped up a frustrating road trip with an overtime loss.

Caleb Zurliene hit a jumper from inside the lane with less than a second left in the extra session to deliver a 90-88 victory to McKendree. It capped a 33-point, 12-rebound, five-blocked shots day for the transfer from Purdue-Northwest.The Bearcats scored nine of the last ten points. The Bearcats improve to 11-10 overall and 7-7 in the GLVC. The Bulldogs drop to 10-13 and 5-10 in the conference.

The Truman women bounced back with an 82-54 victory snapping McKendree’s three-game winning streak. The Bulldogs led 32-22 at halftime and scored the first seven points of the third quarter….

Maddie Neimeier added 11. The Bulldogs improve to 12-3 in the GLVC and 16-7 overall. The Bearcats drop to 7-7 in the league and 10-11.
