A week after picking up a season-opening win at Davenport, Truman State heads back to the state of Michigan to play Wayne State in Detroit on Saturday. GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Cody Schrader, led a Bulldog rushing attack that outgained Davenport 218-to-24 on the ground. ‘Dogs coach Gregg Nesbitt liked the persistence….

The Bulldogs did lose starting center Ryan Laule to a knee injury…..

Wayne State narrowly lost to 5th ranked Slippery Rock in week one. Coach Nesbitt said the Warriors had the football at the one-yard line late in the game….

The Bulldogs blitzed Wayne State two years ago at Stokes Stadium with 24 second quarter points and cruised to a 35-12 victory. After that loss, the Warriors won eight-of-nine games to finish the 2019 season.
