Thomas led all scorers with 23 points. Missouri Southern All-Region center Cam Martin scored 18 before fouling out. He picked up his fourth with 13:48 left. After sitting nearly 10 minutes, Martin fouled out 29 seconds after returning to the floor….

Horner’s big man, Cade McKnight scored 20, including 16 in the second half. Turner Scott chipped in 14. The upset came a year after the Lions routed Truman by 29 points in Joplin with the same starting five. Southern drops to 3-1. The Bulldogs improve to 2-3.
