Truman Still 6th In The Region-Up One Spot In The Top 25

The Truman football team is still 6th in the Super Region 3 rankings and up one spot in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. The only change in the Super Region 3 rankings was Ferris State moved past Pittsburg State into 2nd behind number one Grand Valley State. Ouachita (WAH-cha-taw) Baptist is 4th and Davenport is 5th despite a loss to Ferris on Saturday. Truman is followed by Indianapolis. Seven teams from each of the four Super Regions will make the NCAA Playoffs. The Bulldogs are ranked 20th in the AFCA Top 25 and the Greyhounds are 14th. Those two teams will meet in Indianapolis this Saturday for the GLVC championship and a playoff berth on the line. The rest of the Super Region 3 top 10 are Harding, Emporia State, and Northwest Missouri State. Northwest is ranked 10th in the national coaches poll but will need help to get a playoff bid. Davenport is 18th. Selection Sunday will follow the final games of the regular season this Saturday.
