Truman Standout Brodric Thomas Gets a Shot at the NBA With the Rockets

Truman Men’s Basketball and Bulldogs Head Coach Jeff Horner have tweeted that Brodric Thomas will sign as a free agent with the Houston Rockets. The news was also reported by Kelly Iko, journalist for The Athletic NBA covering the Rockets. Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year went undrafted on Wednesday night. Thomas, in a personal tweet, said “Time to take off. Blessed and ready to work”.

Thomas led Truman to a share of the regular season GLVC title and the GLVC Tournament championship. He scored 666 points last season, a single-season program record, averaging 21.5 points per game and 7.2 rebounds. He’s fifth all-time on the school scoring list with 1,500 career points. Thomas was part of two Bulldog teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament.
