Three Truman backs topped 100 yards as the Bulldogs raced to a 52-7 victory versus Southwest Baptist at Stokes Stadium Saturday night. The 5-0 Bulldogs snapped a 7-7 tie with two minutes left in the first quarter.

Brad Boyer with the call of Jaden Barr’s 12-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ellis. Truman recorded 615 total yards, including 443 on the ground. Cody Schrader’s 43-yard touchdown run was one of three scores for the redshirt freshman.

Schrader rushed for 119 yards on 12 attempts, and the freshman added 67 receiving yards. Senior Jordan Salima provided 155 rushing yards and junior Jaylen Jefferson produced 123. Salima opened the scoring and Jefferson scampered for the fifth of Truman’s six rushing touchdowns. Bulldogs head coach Gregg Nesbitt reacted to the offensive performance.

Nesbitt tied John Ware for third all-time with 54 Truman wins. Fayette’s Isaiah Estes paced the Bulldogs with six total tackles, and Blair Oaks graduate Ben Thomas intercepted a pass in his first action at cornerback.
