Truman Splits With Lindenwood-Totta Scores 1000th
A Truman senior reached a milestone in the Bulldogs split with Lindenwood Thursday night at Pershing Arena. Sloane Totta of Fulton scored her 1,000th career point, but the Bulldogs lost to the Lions 72-65. Brad Boyer and Hank Janssen had the call on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Truman led by as many as seven early in the fourth quarter, but Lindenwood won the final frame 29-17 and the game. Kallie Bildner led the Lions with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Totta led all scorers with 26 points and coach Theo Dean discussed the importance of his one senior to his first year as head coach…..
Maddie Re had 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. The loss snaps Truman’s five-game winning streak. The Bulldogs drop to 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and 15-5 overall. The Lions are now 8-5 in the GLVC and 12-7 overall.
In the men’s game, Brodric Thomas pumped in 27 points and Cade McKnight added 23 to lead Truman to a 72-70 victory over Lindenwood. Thomas made it a two possession game late….
T.J. Crockett, who scored 25 points, got a three-point play to make the score 71-70, and after a Truman turnover, the Lions had a chance to play for the win….
A foul was whistled and a second put back on the clock. Thomas hit one of two free throws and Lindenwood couldn’t get off a shot. Thomas and Crockett are the conference’s two leading scorers. Truman coach Jeff Horner discussed the last defensive stand….
