Truman Receives More Votes In The AFCA D2 Poll

Truman State received 11 votes in this week’s American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. That’s seven more than last week. The 4-1 Bulldogs only setback was by one point in the season-opener against a Davenport, Michigan team that is 5-0 and receiving the 27th most votes. The GLVC’s Indianapolis remains 8th in the poll. Northwest Missouri State dropped seven spots to 16th after a narrow loss to Pittsburg State. The Gorillas are 7th. Two teams from the GLIAC, Ferris State and Grand Valley State, are ranked 1st and 2nd and will square off this Saturday.

Truman is in Super Region 3, which includes five of the top eight teams in the country. The Bulldogs will host Southwest Baptist this Saturday night. You can hear the game on KRES starting with the Truman Tailgate at 5:15.
