Truman RB Schrader Named GLVC OPOW After Monstrous Season Opener

Truman State running back Cody Schrader received GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors. The sophomore from St. Louis rushed for 217 yards and four touchdowns on 35 attempts Saturday. Schrader accounted for all four Truman touchdowns in the season-opening 31-14 triumph at Davenport. The running back Schrader’s sixth career 100-yard effort landed Truman its first GLVC Offensive Player of the Week since Jordan Salima’s selection in September of 2016. Schrader’s 217 rushing yards were the second-most by a Bulldog in the GLVC era. Garrett White delivered 229 yards in 2014.
