Truman Nips Southern Indiana to Clinch a Share of the GLVC Regular Season Title

The Truman State men clinched a share of the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season title with a 75-72 victory over Southern Indiana at Evansville this afternoon (Mon.). The win was the 10th in a row for the 6th ranked Bulldogs and stopped the Screaming Eagles seven game winning streak. USI led 66-64 with under five minutes left when Truman senior guard Turner Scott went on a personal 10 point run that willed the Bulldogs to victory….

Brad Boyer with the call on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Scott’s season-high 19 points all came after halftime. Cade McKnight led the Bulldogs with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Truman coach Jeff Horner admired how his guys battled for three road wins in five days, including today’s capper against the East Division-leading Screaming Eagles….

Truman swept the season series from USI. Horner said his 5-10 guard, Scott, was clutch in winning time….

Josh Price had 19 points for Southern Indiana and Mateo Rivera had 13 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds. The Screaming Eagles drop to 11-4.
