TRUMAN MEN WILL PLAY TWO TOP GLIAC TEAMS IN MICHIGAN THIS WEEK

The Truman State men’s basketball team will face two of the top teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during a swing through Michigan this week. The Bulldogs visit an NCAA Tournament team in Grand Valley State Thursday night then travel to GLIAC (GLEE-ack) South favorite Davenport on Saturday. The Lakers of Grand Valley State went 19-13 last year, but lost at Truman 82-78. ‘Dogs coach Jeff Horner says they will need to be even better to knock off the Lakers a second year in a row….
Grand Valley won it’s two opening conference crossover games last weekend. 6-7 Jake Van Tubbergen was named the GLIAC (GLEE-ack) South Player of the Week.
Truman split it’s conference crossover games in Ohio, knocking off nationally ranked Findlay, then falling to Cedarville. Coach Horner had to watch from home and had these observations….
We will broadcast the Truman at Grand Valley State game Thursday night (Thur) on KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Brad and Hank will be in Allendale, Michigan for pregame coverage at 4:45 central time. The Bulldog will play Davenport for the first time ever on Saturday. We will not have a broadcast of that game.
