Coach Jeff Horner says their defense will face another challenge tonight in freshman Julien Smith, who is averaging nearly 18 points per game….

The Bulldogs continue to lead the GLVC Point Rating System Standings. In Saturday’s win, Turner Scott moved into a tie for 5th place on the Truman list for career assists with 356. He leads the GLVC in assists this season averaging six per game. Dylan Peeters is tied for the most double-doubles in Division II basketball this season with six. The Miners are 2-8. This will be the 150th meeting between the rivals that stretches over two conferences.

After over a week away from game action, the Truman women play S&T to lead off the doubleheader. The Bulldogs are 2nd in the GLVC Point Rating System Standings and lead the Central Division at 5-2. The 2-7 Miners are under the direction of new head coach Kira Carter, who replaced former Moberly coach Alan Eads. You can hear the doubleheader tonight (Thur) on KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting with the Truman Tipoff at 5:00. Brad and Hank will have the call.

The upcoming schedule for the Truman women has been adjusted next week. The men’s schedule remains intact next week, with the Lindenwood game bumped up to 7:00 and the Saturday, 23rd game with UMSL at 2:00.
