Truman Men Light It Up From Outside In A Bulldog Split With Quincy On Senior Day

Truman split with Quincy on Senior Day at Pershing Arena this afternoon (Sat.).

The Bulldog men hit 18 three-pointers in a 94-55 victory over their longtime rival….

Brad Boyer with the calls on Superstation KRES and Lovette finished with 16 points. Trey Shearer connected six times from distance for 18 points. The 18 three-pointers tied for second-most single game in program history. Coach Jeff Horner liked the bounce back from Thursday’s loss…

The Bulldogs have won 7-of-8 to improve to 11-7 in the GLVC and 14-12 overall. Truman remains 3rd in the Point Rating System rankings. Quincy played without leading scorer Zion Richardson and fall to 6-13 in the conference and 11-16 overall.

The Quincy women scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a 92-89 win. Truman took the lead midway through the final frame…

After the Hawks tied the game, the Bulldogs got a free throw for their final lead. Coach Theo Dean said Quincy took advantage of too many turnovers…

On their Senior Day, Ellie Weltha finished with 25 points and Claire Rake had 14. Weltha moved into second place on the career rebounding list at the school. The Bulldogs drop to 4-16 in the GLVC and 7-19 overall. Quincy improves to 9-12 and 10-17 overall.

The Truman teams will next play at Southwest Baptist on Thursday. Pregame coverage will begin at 5:15 on KRES.
