Truman Men Advance with a Big 2nd Half

The Truman men rode a big second half to an 85-68 victory over Rockhurst in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament in Edwardsville, Illinois tonight.

Brad Boyer with the call on Superstation KRES and GLVC Player of the Year Brodric Thomas sat over 14 minutes of the first half with two fouls and the three seed Bulldogs only led 36-33 at half. Thomas scored 20 of his 23 points after the break and the Bulldogs hit 14-of-20 shots from the field. Truman coach Jeff Horner explained how they shot 70%.

Big man Cade McKnight also scored 23 including 4-for-4 from the three-point arc. Turner Scott chipped in 18. The Bulldogs improve their record to 21-8 and get a rematch with Indianapolis in the semifinals Saturday night. The Greyhounds are the number one team in the region and beat Truman on a last second shot. You can hear the game on KRES starting at 8:15.
