The Truman State basketball teams make their final visit to Bellarmine for the start of a three-game road trip Thursday night. Next year, Bellarmine will make the jump to Division I and play in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

In mid-January, the Bellarmine men were undefeated and the number one team in the country. Since then, the Knights have lost five-of-seven games all in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. Bulldogs coach Jeff Horner says a key injury hurt the Knights in getting swept at William Jewell and Rockhurst last week…..

The Bulldogs are coming off an upset of 13th ranked Missouri-St. Louis, which catapulted them to the top spot in the GLVC. The ‘Dogs have won five in a row to get to 12-2 in league play and 16-6 overall. Bellarmine is 16-5 and still receiving votes in the national rankings.

The Truman women have the second best record in the GLVC at 12-2 but enter this week 4th in the Point Rating Standings, which determines seed for the postseason tournament. Theo Dean and the Bulldogs will finish with five-of-six on the road….
