The Truman State basketball teams start a four-game homestand with the Miners of Missouri S&T. The Bulldog women will try to do something they’ve never done; win their first four conference games. Three other seasons the Bulldogs started 3-0 and fell in the fourth game. In Saturday’s win over Rockhurst, sophomore post Allison Thomas scored a career-high 18 points. Coach Theo Dean gave her the start in place of the ailing Katie Jaseckas…..

Dean’s Bulldogs are 7-3. MACC Lady Greyhound Hall of Fame member Alan Eads is now in his 18th season leading Missouri S&T. The Lady Miners are 5-5 and 1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Truman women have won all seven games with S&T under the GLVC banner.

The Truman men try to rebound from their first conference loss. On the Kansas City road trip, leading scorer Brodric Thomas scored a combined five points in the first half and a combined 33 points in the second half of the two games. Coach Jeff Horner says his all-GLVC performer is forcing it at times…..

The Miners are under the direction of new head coach Bill Walker, who came to the Rolla campus from fellow-GLVC school Illinois-Springfield. Coach Horner says S&T can score….

Horner and the Bulldogs are 6-5 and 2-1 in the GLVC. The Miners are 3-6 and 1-2 in the conference. There is no admission charge to attend this week’s games at Pershing Arena.

You can hear the doubleheader from Pershing Arena on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting with the Truman Tipoff at 5:15. Brad and Hank will have the call.
