Truman Cracks The Top 25 With A Big Jump-Schrader Is GLVC Offensive Player Of The Week

Truman State cracked the NCAA Division II Football Coaches Top 25 Poll with its upset of 12th ranked Tiffin on Saturday. The Bulldogs jumped up eight spots to 18th in the latest rankings released today (Mon.). Tiffin dropped to 26th and Indianapolis fell out of the Top 25 with its second straight loss. West Florida and Northwest Missouri State are the top two teams.

The Bulldog that scored the winning touchdown in Saturday’s comeback win is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Cody Schrader ran for 164 yards on 32 carries in the 38-35 victory over Tiffin. Schrader scored the go-ahead touchdown with 26-seconds left on a three-yard run. With the ‘Dogs down 18 points in the third quarter, the sophomore from St. Louis scored on a 21-yard run.

It was Schrader’s third 100-yard rushing day in four games, and the second time this season he has been named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week.
