Both teams are 8-1 and 5-0 in the GLVC. The Bulldogs are 6th and the Greyhounds are 7th in Super Region 3. UIndy is ranked 14th in the AFCA Top 25 Poll and Truman is 20th. Greyhound coach Chris Keevers says the similarities carry onto the field….

UIndy has won seven of the nine GLVC championships up for grabs and beaten Truman eight of nine games. Nesbitt says the Greyhounds winning formula doesn’t change…..

Keevers says his approach to the championship game will not change….

Truman State has won 27 conference titles, with all but one in the MIAA. The Bulldogs lost to UIndy in two other true championship games in 2013 and in the abbreviated spring 2021 COVID season. Like those, this championship game will also be in Indianapolis. The last time a Bulldog team won nine games in a row was 1990. You can hear the game on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting with the Truman Tailgate at 12:15 central time. Brad, Eric, and Hank will have the broadcast.
