The Truman State football team will make two trips to the Wolverine State next season. The schedule was released yesterday (Tues) and the Bulldogs will head to Detroit to face Wayne State on September 12th and will wrap up the regular season in Grand Rapids against Davenport on November 14th. Truman’s season-opener will be with another Michigan school in Saginaw Valley State. That game will kick off the 2020 season on September 5th at Stokes Stadium. A unique feature to the Truman football schedule is a home-and-away with William Jewell. The game in Liberty will be non-conference on September 19th and the return matchup will count in the conference standings and will also be part of homecoming weekend on October 24th. The Bulldogs will start Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a pair of home games against the GLVC’s two representatives in the NCAA playoffs last year; Indianapolis on September 26th and Lindenwood on October 3rd. The only other home game is with Quincy on Halloween.

Truman finished the 2019 season with a 10-2 overall record, 5-2 in the GLVC and were the inaugural champions of the America’s Crossroads Bowl with a 21-7 win over Ohio Dominican University in Hobart, Indiana.
