Tributes To Coyle Arriving From Fellow Farm Broadcasters

Farmers, listeners, and colleagues are remembering the legacy of former Regional Radio farm director Jim Coyle, who died over the weekend at the age of 83.  Tom Brand, executive director of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, recalls one of his first experiences in the industry came when he shadowed Coyle at our studios one weekend.

Brand describes Coyle as an encourager and adds that the two stayed in contact as Brand began his farm broadcasting career.

NAFB executive director Tom Brand notes that Jim Coyle first gained membership in the professional organization in 1982 and regularly supported its activities.  Coyle received an emeritus membership upon his retirement in 2000.
