Tornadoes Not Lone Focus in Severe Weather Preparedness Week

While tornadoes are a point of emphasis during severe weather preparedness week, there are many other weather events that are also dangerous. Andy Bailey is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill. He offers a few other examples.

He says another is flooding.

On the heels of record flooding last year, Bailey says additional flooding remains a possibility in Missouri.

The Statewide Tornado Drill is scheduled for 10 Tuesday morning.
