Mizzou junior forward Jeremiah Tilmon, Junior, was selected preseason second-team All-SEC in a vote among the league’s coaches. It’s the first preseason league of his career. Tilmon averaged 10.1 points and 5.9 rebounds last season. The 6-foot-10, 260-pound forward blocked a team-leading 25 shots, while shooting better tha 54 percent from the field. He joins Ricardo Ratliffe as the only Tigers in the past three decades to shoot above 54 percent in back-to-back seasons. Tilmon was also one of 20 players in the nation named to the preseason watch list for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar National Center of the Year Award last month. The 2019-20 season officially tips off this week for Mizzou with a pair of home games against Incarnate Word Wednesday and Northern Kentucky Friday.
