Through Tragedy, Fayette and South Shelby Boys Will Play Tuesday

Tuesday’s district basketball contest between the Fayette and South Shelby boys will be played with heavy hearts. A Fayette boys team member was killed over the weekend. After the girls team opted not to play their district game Monday, boys coach Jon Bishop says his team plans to play Tuesday.

As for the game, 13-10 Fayette is led by senior Kyle Schleeter, who averages just over 26 points per game. Bishop says 9-16 South Shelby is better than its record shows.
Armontrout says his team is prepared after losing their last two games by a combined four points.
