Three Milan Football Players to Continue Playing Careers in College

Milan senior football players Dominic Dabney, Axel Pagan, and Mallan Cole have all signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers at the college level. Running back Dominic Dabney will join his brother Ryan at Truman State this fall. During his varsity career Dabney ran for 3,700 yards and also compiled 354 tackles on defense for the Wildcats. Dabney says the Truman coaching staff was a big reason for joining the Bulldogs.

Dabney’s Milan teammate on the 2020 KRES All-Star team, Axel Pagan, will also play football in college. Pagan signed last month to play football at Culver-Stockton. He garnered numerous honors this past season, including 1st Team Grand River Conference Offensive Line and 2nd Team Grand River Conference Defensive Line. Pagan says Culver-Stockton caught his attention early in the recruiting process.

Quarterback Mallan Cole will join Pagan in the Heart of America Conference having signed with Central Methodist. Cole was one of the newest members of the Milan football team, having transferred from Maysville prior to the 2020 season. Cole discusses the transfer to Milan.

During his lone season with Milan, Cole proved to be a dangerous dual-threat quarterback as he helped lead the Wildcats to a 9-2 record and a Grand River Conference title. Cole was named 2nd Team Grand River Conference Quarterback and 1st Team Grand River Conference Defensive Back. He will join a Central Methodist squad that went 5-4 this past fall. Cole describes the moment where he knew Central Methodist was the place for him.

Both Cole and Dabney plan to major in education, while Pagan is considering athletic training for his major at Culver-Stockton.
