Three Injured in Cooper County Accident

Three out-of-state residents were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash just after midnight Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 in Cooper County, at mile marker 91. The State Highway Patrol reports a car driven by 35-year old Christopher Hicks of Lakewood, Colorado pulled onto the roadway from the shoulder and was struck in the rear by a car driven by 64-year old Jerry Weller of Overland Park, Kansas. Weller, Hicks, and a passenger in the Hicks vehicle, 33-year old Ryan Webb of Gillespie, Illinois, were all taken to Columbia.
