Thomas Richard Momphard, 75, died August 30, 2024, with family at his side, after a long battle with respiratory disease. Tom was born June 21, 1949, in Silex, Missouri to Hilda (Wilp) and Raymond Momphard.

He graduated from Silex High School in 1967 and attended Northeast State (now Truman) in Kirksville, MO. He graduated from the University of New York in Albany, NY.

Tom developed a career as a very successful accountant; something he thoroughly enjoyed.

After his initial marriage to Margaret Bartold, Tom met Tim Mickelson in 2002, and they married on November 30, 2013, in Afton, MN. Tom and Tim lived happily in Affton, MO for the rest of his life. As avid theatre buffs, Tom and Tim enjoyed many performances at The Fabulous Fox.

Tom leaves behind his loving husband, Tim Mickelson, his step-daughter, Hanne Hawkins (Brett), his three grandchildren, Sylvi, Eilee, and Odin Hawkins, his sister, Terry Creech (Gerald), his aunt Imagean Robinson, niece, Tiffany Lueck (Jerry), his nephews, Brian Creech (Jill) and Nicholas Creech (Angie), and great nephews and nieces, Austin Lueck, Braden Creech, Emma Lueck, McKenzie Creech and Jackson Creech.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Raymond Davis Momphard, his mom, Hilda Marie (Wilp) Momphard, his brother John Momphard, and great nephew, Christopher Lueck.

Family was incredibly important to Tom. He adored spending time with his three grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews, and many friends whom he treated as family. Those who loved Tom, will remember his gentle touch, warm crooked smile, and spunky sense of humor.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes in Silex. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood. Burial will be in Sulphur Lick Cemetery.
