The mass testing of offenders and staff at Moberly Correctional Center has been completed. DOC officials indicate that there are no offender cases of COVID-19 at MCC. They are also proud of the staff who have taken the virus seriously and followed the viral containment strategies to help keep everyone safe. The facility is working on a plan for a gradual return to some more normal operations. They are continuing testing on intake, before release, when symptoms are present, or when someone may have been exposed to the virus through a close contact with a COVID-19-positive person. They have also begun random sample testing, in which they test ten percent of the population of each facility.
