Tennis Is Family For Meystrik and O’Laughlin

The sport of tennis and family are connected for the Moberly doubles team of Max Meystrik and Ryan O’Laughlin. The Spartans recently capture the seventh place medals at the Class 1 tournament in Springfield, becoming the first All-State doubles team in school history. Meystrik’s uncle, Andy Miedler, placed in singles at the 1995 and ’96 state tennis tournament….

O’Laughlin has cousins on the Moberly tennis team and his brother is coming up from eighth grade….

High school tennis is dominated by private schools. Meystrik takes pride in what they were able to accomplish…..

The other Moberly state tennis medalist, on the boys side, was Alex Gengenbach in 1981. The Moberly girls had a state champion in foreign exchange student Victoria Grigorian in 1994.
