This weekend is the 66th edition of the Sumner Goose Festival. Lisa Stewart, one of the organizers for the festival says one of the more popular events is a game she played when she was a child.

Stewart says they are grateful to be able to continue this festival amid a pandemic.

The Sumner Goose Festival starts Friday with a Soup and Chili Supper from 4-7pm. Saturday features a wild goose chase, vendors, prince, princess, and queen contests, baby show, Gooseberry pie auctions, a car show, silent auctions, a parade, music from Cheap Thrills, and also Foreman’s Southern Gospel. More activities and information can be found on the “Sumner Wild Goose Festival” Facebook page.
