In last week’s election voters overhwelmingly approved the Sturgeon School District’s Proposition K.I.D.S. by a margin of 238-61. Sturgeon Superintendent Geoff Neill says the money from this no tax rate increase bond issue paves the way for the district to begin a series of improvements to its facilities.

Other planned improvements include the construction of a new weight room, the creation of an agricultual workshop, and additional parking spaces. Neill says the timeline for working on these facility upgrades is still being determined.

Neill feels the passage of Proposition K.I.D.S. is a testament to the support they receive from their community.

Along with planning for these facility upgrades, the Sturgeon School Board is also working to finalize its fiscal year 2021 budget by July 1st.
