The Sturgeon School Board this month discussed the potential of switching to four day school weeks. Sturgeon Superintendent Geoffrey Neill says they were joined by Missouri State University professor Dr. John Turner to help provide further insight.

The Sturgeon School District currently has four-and-a-half day school weeks, with early dismissal on Mondays to allow for professional development for teachers. Neill says they are sending out surveys to get input on the proposal.

Neill is hopeful to have a final decision on a potential four day school week within the first few months of 2020.
